St. Bonaventure University men’s rugby Coach Tui Osborne has been named assistant coach of the Men’s Collegiate All-Americans.
“I’m honored to be able to work with the best collegiate rugby athletes and coaches in the nation, and continuing to be part of the growth of this wonderful game in the United States,” Osborne said. “I’m looking forward to bringing back knowledge and experience to grow our program here at St. Bonaventure.”
Osborne will work alongside Life University Coach Blake Bradford in support of head Coach James Willocks, head coach at Dartmouth.
“Both Blake and Tui have incredible rugby knowledge and have spent years developing student-athletes at their respective institutions,” said Willocks. “They’re not only top coaches but top men who will help create a positive environment to drive development of the best collegiate players in the country.”
The trio is preparing to work with 100 of the nation’s best men’s rugby players at the Men’s Collegiate All-American Selection Camp, set for Aug. 9-17 at Infinity Park in Glendale, Colo., home of the Glendale Raptors of Major League Rugby.
Former Bonaventure rugby player Kevin McCorry, ’13 and ’14, was selected as team manager. McCorry served in May as the tour manager for the USA under-20s team, and in June for the USA under-20s summer camp.
