This one-credit course, which is available for all first-year students, helps make the most of the freshman year.  Academic content provides a context for teaching and assessing fundamental academic skills such as using technology, time management, listening skills, note taking, and learning from textbooks.  The course also addresses transition into college life. Issues including identifying personal goals and priorities, information about campus resources, dealing with stress, and other social issues are discussed in a small-group setting.
