SPAN 309. Spanish Civilization and Culture

A study of the Spanish character and Spain's major contributions to world civilization from the past to the present. It traces Spain's cultural evolution from early invasions: Celts, Goths,  Visigoths, Iberians to  Jews, Moslems, and  Christians cultures in Medieval Spain with their traditions, customs, art, gypsy cultures dance and music to Spanish  Civil War, the Franco Regime, and the Spanish transition to democracy.
