PHIL 102. Introduction to Philosophy

The aim of this course is to initiate a self-awakening in the student through a confrontation with the perennial problem of the nature and meaning of human existence. Students will be guided in this confrontation by the development and exercise of their capacity for critical reflection. Within the context of this aim, specific issues in epistemology, metaphysics and ethics will be considered.
