BIO 390. Evolution

A detailed study of the fundamental principles of biological evolution, including natural selection; neutral theory; population-level evolutionary changes; molecular mechanisms of evolution; the role of morphological, behavioral, and molecular data in our understanding of evolutionary change; and methods of evolutionary research. The course will integrate classical conclusions with contemporary interpretations of evolutionary data, with emphasis placed on modern molecular-based methodologies. Three hours lecture per week.
