Less than 48 hours remain until the beginning of the first #BonaGivingDay — and several alumni have joined the fun to help future Bonnies.
On Thursday, April 21, the Bonaventure community from around the globe will help secure the success of St. Bonaventure by donating to The Bonaventure Fund.
To assist in generating excitement, several lead donors have issued special challenge gifts, including:
“These challenge gifts and the many others are an incredible boost for our first Bona Giving Day,” said Clarence Picard, director of Annual Giving. “Word is spreading quickly.”
According to Picard, the spirit of Bona Giving Day was shown when Rich O’Halloran read about the initial challenges and wanted to get involved. A few emails later and O’Halloran’s challenge was in place.
Said O’Halloran, “It is an honor and a pleasure to be part of Giving Day and to have an opportunity to give back to a place that has given so much to me.”
All students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends are invited to Rise to the Challenge with a gift on April 21.
Don’t forget to spread the word, too. Post on social media, using #BonaGivingDay, and like, share and retweet your fellow Bonnies. After donating, remember to download and proudly display the social media “I Rose to the Challenge” button.
