Clarence Picard has been named St. Bonaventure University’s director of annual giving, President Sr. Margaret Carney, O.S.F., announced today.
A 2005 alumnus of St. Bonaventure’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication, Picard had served as the interim director of annual giving since January.
“We are indeed fortunate to benefit from the expertise Clarence provides to the Bonaventure Fund. A highly skilled communicator and leader, his dedication supports the university in many very important aspects,” said Monica Mattioli, interim vice president for advancement.
Picard was an annual giving development officer from August 2013 to December 2014, and was coordinator of admissions communications from May 2011 until July 2013.
This fall, Picard enters his 10th year as head coach of St. Bonaventure’s men’s rugby team, a longtime power in the East.
A Lakewood, Ohio, native, Picard was an associate editor at WNY Heritage magazine from 2006 to 2011.
