Student Research at SBU

All student research at St. Bonaventure is guided or mentored by one or more faculty members. Student research may be part of departmental research, that is, a research program within a particular department; a facet of one of the distinguished Bonaventure programs (see below) that feature research but are not part of a specific department; or both.

Through its departments, St. Bonaventure offers an enormous variety of student research. Our Departmental Research page lists each department with a student research program and provides a link to the department's own detailed student research page. Honors Program

Honors Program

A "degree with honors" is the highest undergraduate degree offered by the University. To obtain a degree with honors, a student fulfills several requirements within the Honors Program. The Honors Project is the capstone requirement and consists of a two-semester research or creative endeavor pursued under the guidance of a faculty mentor. Thus, an honors student with an interest in research can pursue that interest through his or her Honors Project. Learn more about the Honors Program.

Yankelovich Endowed Fellowship Program

Yankelovich Endowed Fellowship Program

The purpose of the Mary Yankelovich Endowed Fellowship Program is to "develop current and future leaders dedicated to the transformation of society based on the Franciscan ideals of peace, justice, reconciliation and service." Senior Fellows are responsible for the design and execution of a service project, mentored by an authorized individual. Thus, a Yankelovich Fellow with an interest in research can pursue that interest through his or her service project. Learn more about the Yankelovich Endowed Fellowship Program.
