Have a question about Philosophy Club? Contact our faculty adviser:
Dr. Barry Gan, professor of philosophy and director of the Center for Nonviolence at St. Bonaventure: firstname.lastname@example.org
At Philosophy Club gatherings, we like to talk. For most meetings, we pick a topic (like zombies or identity) and discuss it over food. Sometimes we have guest speakers, including professors from nearby universities, or celebrate the birthdays of famous philosophers.
The club engages ideas with peers and professors. Doing so fosters critical thinking, builds communication skills and broadens perspectives.
Ever wonder who you are? How to be happy? What the right thing to do is? Philosophy Club may be the place for you. At the very least, you’ll probably leave with an open mind.
