In some cases, NY residents may find coverage options through NY Health Plus. It's also a good idea for students to check out any health insurance plans their parents have. Many offer considerable flexibility with regard to young adult children and some will cover a full-time student to age 23 or 25.

Closings, cancellations and emergencies

Occasionally, weather will necessitate cancellation of evening graduate classes. If it's class night and the weather looks bad, please look to local media outlets (local radio and Buffalo-based TV networks) for information. Buffalo Center students can also call the main office line for information, 716-646-1500. The University is establishing a text and e-mail system to notify students of cancellations, emergencies, etc. You'll receive information about how to register for this once you have enrolled.
