The elementary education/early childhood education undergraduate degree is registered in New York and accredited by NCATE, the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education.

† The Clare College curriculum also includes a three-credit quantitative reasoning requirement. Elementary education majors satisfy this requirement by passing any of the mathematics courses listed in the above table under Certification Requirements.

 

Academic Concentration

Choose one concentration from among English, Math/Science/Technology (MST), and Social Studies. Within the concentration, take 30 credits of courses, as indicated below. Note that the courses include several of the requirements listed in the table above.
