What type of Internet connection does St. Bonaventure University have? St. Bonaventure has a 100 Mb internet connection.
Will my son/daughter have his/her own connection in the residence hall? Each student on campus has his or her own data port allowing Internet connectivity.
Can I use a Wireless Printer in my Dorm? No, a wireless printer will not work in the dorms at this time.
Does the University give out any software? St. Bonaventure University does not give out any licensed software to students with the exception of Sophos virus protection.
Does Bona's work on students’ computers? The helpdesk services will work with students to attempt to resolve any computer issues. If there appears to be a hardware problem or if the system needs extensive work such as reformatting, it is policy to refer the students to an outside professional service to get the work done.
Will my son/daughter have email through the university? Each student registered for classes will be assigned an email account and the account is kept active as long as the student remains registered at St. Bonaventure.
Do many students come to school with their own computer? We estimate that approximately 95% of our students are coming on campus with their own computers.
What can my son/daughter do if he/she does not have a computer? St. Bonaventure does have six publicly accessible computer labs with over 150 computers for students to use throughout the academic year. All of these computers have Microsoft Office Professional installed on them.
