Educating the Campus Community in Fire Safety

Fire safety page photoIn accordance with New York State Department of Homeland Security Emergency Services education guidelines, St. Bonaventure University is committed to training the campus community with traditional methods such as mandatory periodic fire drills in all the buildings to fresh innovative ideas such as YouTube videos and training exercizes such as the 2010 live burn demonstration at Devereux Hall. The Campus Fire/Life Safety Officer holds classes every year educating and updating the community and Residence Life staff. The staff educates and updates all students in the residence halls with periodic floor meetings and postings.

 

Information on training the community in fire safety is readily available online through this website, by phoning the Fire/Life safety office at 716-375-4018, or by looking up specific fire safety rules in the student code of conduct online manual (link).
