The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is a made up of student-athletes assembled to provide insight on the student-athlete experience. SAAC also offers input on the rules, regulations and policies that affect student athletes' lives in the NCAA.
We work to foster a positive student-athlete image, protect student-athlete welfare and help student-athletes learn the importance of giving back to the community.
Past Events
- Community Clean-Up:In order to better the community, teams clean up trash around Allegany during the fall and spring semesters.
- Fundraising: Teams sell Bona athletic T-shirts to promote the awareness of cystic fibrosis and to raise funds to combate the disease.
Future Plans
The SAAC plans to continue with community clean-up and fundraising for cystic fibrosis. It also wishes to find new fundraising opportunities, become more involved within the university and continue to make legislative decisions for the Atlantic 10 Conference.
The SAAC strives to create a positive image for student athletes through community service, hard work and dedication to St. Bonaventure University.
