SBU For Life

SBU for Life is an on-campus Respect Life committee that helps students advocate for and educate about the dignity of all human life issues. They are an advocacy and educational student club.

 

SBU for Life  plans a "Human Dignity of Life Week" and participates in a series of local pro-life functions. Discussion meetings on topics such as women's rights, war, euthanasia, abortion and abuse are held monthly and are open to the public to participate in


 

Annually, SBU for Life travels to Washington, D.C., to attend the March for Life, which is geared directly toward ending abortion. The march is in response to the Roe v. Wade decision of 1973. The event always takes place on the week day closest to January 22, the day of the Roe v. Wade decision.
