Your SBU student account is used to log into all of the web services available at St. Bonaventure such as, your email account, My SBU, Moodle and more. Your username & password is the key that provides access to your personal information.
Do not share your password with your room mate, boyfriend, girlfriend or even family members.
SBU employees will never ask you for your password in any manner; email, etc...
Remember: someone with your password can change your courses, access your financial records, employment information and more.
Your SBU Email account is the account that will be used for all official communications from various campus offices and faculty. Your email address will be: username@bonaventure.edu
Before you go to My SBU and set up your personal password for your SBU Student account, please take a moment to read the password security tips below.
Keep your new password to yourself
Make sure your password is not easy to guess.
Passwords must meet minimum criteria listed when you attempt to change your password.
If you have any trouble or can’t remember your new password, you must stop down to the helpdesk with your student ID.
No password will be changed over the phone. Bring your student ID to the helpdesk to have your password reset
If you think your password has been compromised - log into My.SBU and change your password.
Setting up your Personal Password:
Go to: http://my.sbu.edu Click on the "change password" link on the log in page to set up your personal password.
Please read the directions on the page carefully!!
You will be asked to enter your email address username@bonaventure.edu when changing your password.
