This area of our web site is designed to provide new students with information about the services and technology resources available to you through the
St. Bonaventure Technology Services Department.

 

 


 

bullet 3Online Services: 
  SBU Student Accounts:  As a new St. Bonaventure University student your user ID (username) & password provides you with access to your SBU email account, My SBU, Moodle and more. Your SBU ID gives you access to your personal information - keep it safe. 
  My SBU is St. Bonaventure's intranet site.  This secure site allows you to access your email, register for classes, view your transcript, fill out time sheets and more.  You will also find many useful links and tools as well as information about other services available to you. 
  SBU email  is your official St. Bonaventure email account and will be used for official communications from various campus offices and faculty. 
 

Moodle is St. Bonaventure University’s web-based learning management system used by many of our instructors to provide syllabi, course materials, grades, and other course related documents and activities to you in a secure online environment.

  SBU Wireless Network all campus buildings and many outdoor areas have wireless coverage.
  Resident Student Network every dorm room has one Ethernet connection per student. 
   
bullet 3 Your Computer & Software 
  Computer Recommendations and Purchasing Information Check here before you buy your computer for recommended system specifications and to access our student purchase program site. 
 

Install Antivirus Software: you will need to have antivirus software installed on your computer when you arrive on campus.  We recommend that you keep your antivirus protection and the Windows Operating System updated at all times.

 Software: New students often ask about software for their computer.  You will need Microsoft Office for Word, PowerPoint and possibly Excel.   


Technology Services maintains 6 computer labsthat are available for all students. These labs have a variety of software programs available on the computers. There are also several departmental labs that have specialty software specific to that department's needs.
