Within the School of Arts and Sciences, students pursue major interests in a wide variety of departmental programs.
These programs can be, and often are, pursued as ends in themselves.
They also provide for the needs of students who plan to enter medical, dental, veterinary, law and other professional schools, who hope to become secondary schoolteachers, or who intend to enter the various fields of graduate study.
