College Republicans

GOP elephantThe St. Bonaventure University College Republicans are a university-chartered organization devoted to promoting the principles of the Republican Party and helping to elect candidates at all levels of government.  As the premier political organization on campus, the organization is focused on developing strong leadership abilities and political skills among Republican students, as preparation for future service to the Republican Party and to the United States of America.

This organization is also chartered through the New York College Republican State Committee (www.nycrsc.org), a statewide organization composed of club chapters, which is devoted to developing communication among chapters and creating a stronger state party.

We spend a majority of our time assisting campaigns, and through this, the organization has built a very strong relationship with the community and local officials. During the campaign season, the organization becomes the "ground force" for the local campaigns, and can be tasked with many varying assignments such as distributing literature to being invited to attend local fundraisers. This strong relationship with the community often provides opportunities to intern with many local officials.

When the campaigns are not in full swing, the organization focuses its efforts on campus. From organizing debates/discussions to organizing voter registration drives, the College Republicans have many different ways that we promote the party and the movement's ideas on this campus.
