Why Theater at SBU

Why study theater at St. Bonaventure?

Because theater thrives in small, welcoming ensembles of passionate students. St. Bonaventure offers small classes and a supportive, welcoming theater environment.

Dr. Ed. Simone, associate professor of theater, instructs a student.

Reckless Gameshow      Because theater works best when actors and techs share courses and common experiences. There’s no “actors versus techs” at SBU. Productions are created in a spirit of real collaboration.

Because theater is most effective when all its creators are versed in literature, science, art, music, history, languages and the classics. St. Bonaventure’s liberal arts curriculum encourages informed creativity in a compassionate and global context.      Metamorphoses 4
