Here to help you become a better writer!
The Plassmann Writing Center offers free writing assistance to all members of the St. Bonaventure community. The Center, located in Plassmann Hall room 6A, is staffed by friendly graduate students in English who aim to help you at every stage of the writing process: understanding an assignment, discovering ideas, outlining, writing or revising a thesis, organizing an essay, improving clarity or concision, maintaining a consistent voice, understanding formatting and documentation, or learning how to edit or proofread your own work. Our goal is to help you develop skills and strategies that will enable you to write effectively in a variety of settings.
In addition to numerous tutoring hours in the PWC itself, the Center offers additional hours at the Friedsam Library in the first floor main reading room.
To make an appointment for a thirty-minute face-to-face session with one of our tutors at the PWC, please sign up on the bulletin board next to our door, in the basement of Plassmann Hall. For an appointment at the Friedsam Library, sign up at the reference desk. Slots fill up quickly!
