Minor in Applied Ethics and Social Philosophy

• PHIL 102. Introduction to Philosophy 
• PHIL 210. Metaphysics 
• CLAR 304. The Good Life 
• Three philosophy electives numbered 330 to 349 (see below) 

Students interested in medical ethics are strongly advised to choose their philosophy electives as follows:

• one selected from 
  • PHIL 335. Philosophy of Science and Medicine,
  • PHIL 336. Philosophy of Psychology;
• two selected from
  • PHIL 337. Death and Dying, 
  • PHIL 338. Medical Ethics,
  • PHIL 340. Applied Ethics Internship.
   

Students interested in business ethics are strongly advised to take the following philosophy electives:

• PHIL 330. Business Ethics,
• PHIL 331. Philosophy of Economics,
• PHIL 340. Applied Ethics Internship.

Students interested in news media ethics are strongly advised to take the following philosophy electives:

• PHIL 330. Business Ethics,
• PHIL 331. Philosophy of Economics,
• PHIL 340. Applied Ethics Internship.

To declare a minor, a special form must be filled out and filed with the Records Office by the end of the student's junior year. The appropriate form is available from the student's advisor or from the Office of the Registrar.
