The direction I have chosen since Bona’s is not consistent at all with my major. However at the same time, my experience at Bonaventure is the reason why I have chosen this path.
I have been pursuing my career as a musical artist in a hip hop group called Akademy. Our group consists of four high school friends from Long Island. I always considered my music career a hobby until Bonaventure.
At the end of every tennis season I wrote and recorded a song about the team, including all the stories from throughout the year. I was very shy by nature about my music, but as soon as my teammates heard the songs they sent them out to everyone on campus and they spread like wild fire. By my senior year the song was so big that they requested it at The OP and Fosters.
Since then, my teamates have continued to help me with my career by doing things such as shooting a music video, photo ops, websites, and more. The friends I made through Bonaventure believed in my career and have been so supportive of my goals.
