St. Bonaventure University maintains an Early Assurance Program (EAP) with The George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. This is also called Early Selection on the GW website.
This is an opportunity for SBU sophomores to gain early acceptance to medical school.
Accepted students do not have to take the MCAT. In order to apply, students must meet certain GPA and prerequisite course requirements. Transfer students are not eligible.
Interested students should contact the Franciscan Health Care Professions director at SBU no later than January of their sophomore year. The application deadline is in late March.
Accepted students are required to complete their remaining two years of college, maintain a 3.6 overall GPA and have no grade below B- in any science coursework, and continue relevant volunteer and clinical experiences. The MCAT exam is NOT required.
The Common Application is preferred for this early assurance program.
