SOC 207. Introduction to Sociological Research
Description:
This course is designed to provide an introduction to a practical application of social research methods. We are constantly challenged with questions regarding different forms of research. From medical and health advice to major financial decisions and purchases, we are confronted daily with challenges of understanding the reliability and validity of the research on which these decisions are based. Throughout this semester you will be introduced to the tools necessary to comprehend and critically evaluate existing research. By the end of this course you will have acquired a sufficient understanding of the research process which will allow you to conduct your own future research.
