This course will examine Nietzsche’s seminal writings with an eye to their influence on contemporary philosophy. Such central topics in Nietzsche as “the death of God,” “the will to power,” “the Overman,” and “nihilism” will be addressed as well as the appropriation of Nietzsche in “postmodern” thought.
