An introduction to psychology for honors students. Topics include the history of psychology, methods of research, learning, cognition, physiological psychology, perception, social psychology and personality. These topics will be covered in depth, and extensive discussion and analysis will be expected. Collaboratively, in a seminar format, the students and the instructor will review the classic literature of psychology and also explore more recently published research, theory and applications. While the course is designed for freshman majors, nonmajor sophomores and juniors who meet the qualifications of the Honors Program are welcome to enroll.
