This course will provide theory and content relative to gross motor development. Course content will include the developmental perspective, physical growth and maturation and early motor behavior from birth to 5-years. Motor development sequences will be studied in depth comparing infants and young children without and with developmental delays. Students will learn to plan developmentally appropriate lessons for the field experience of this course, Kinder-Kinetics. The field experience will occur each Thursday throughout the semester involving preschool children without and with disabilities.
