This course is a non-calculus-based study of statistics, including descriptive methods, basic probability theory, some design and data-collection issues, and procedures for statistical inference. Emphasis is on set-up and interpretation rather than on computation, with a significant reliance on computer software and/or statistical calculators for the "number crunching" portion of the analysis.
