Everyone attending Commencement at SBU, all family members and guests, must have a ticket. In order to make the ticket procurement process run smoothly, the following procedures are followed:
Distribution starts Friday, April 19
- All tickets will be distributed from 1-4 p.m. on Friday, April 19, at the One Stop Shop event in Reilly Center Arena.
- Any tickets not picked up on April 19 will be available from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday, April 22, through Friday, May 3, from Ann Hurlburt in Reilly Center 203 (above the post office).
- All graduates must present their student ID card in order to receive their tickets.
- All graduates will receive five (5) tickets.
Additional Tickets
Additional tickets are limited. Any student needing additional tickets must submit a request in writing to room 203RC no later than Monday, April 15, by email to Ann Hurlburt at ahurl@sbu.edu. Those students will be granted 3 extra tickets as long as tickets remain available. Requests after April 15 will not be accepted.
Graduates not needing all five (5) tickets allowed them are encouraged to make any extras available to others, either by leaving the tickets with Ann Hurlburt in RC 203 or distributing the tickets themselves.
Once all graduates have picked up their tickets, any remaining tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. This process will take place for one day only: Monday, May 6, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in RC 203.
Note: The university is restricted by New York State Fire Codes as to the number of individuals allowed to assemble in the Reilly Center Arena; therefore there will be a limit on the number of tickets distributed.

Buffalo Center students

All graduates will receive five (5) tickets. You must present your ID to pick up tickets. All tickets will be distributed at the Buffalo Center as follows:
- April 23-25 (T-W-Th);
8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
- April 26 (Friday);
10:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m.
- April 27 (Sat.)
8:30 a.m.-3 p.m.
- April 30-May 2 (T-W-Th);
8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Additional Tickets
