On-Campus Recruiting Program

Recruiting Information

Overview

The Career and Professional Readiness Center's On-Campus Recruiting (OCR) Program facilitates opportunities for current St. Bonaventure University students to meet and connect with employers and organizations on the SBU campus in an effort to find full-time employment, internships, graduate school information and to learn more about their chosen industry.

Not every kind of employer in every career field uses OCR as a tool to find candidates. Generally, organizations that recruit on university campuses are those that hire many college graduates every year, have significant recruiting budgets, and can predict their hiring needs many months in advance. Smaller organizations and those that typically hire to fill immediate vacancies may use other methods of reaching candidates.

While the OCR program usually attracts the greatest numbers of employers in various fields of business, there are also employers seeking students in any major. Regardless of your major, do not rule out the OCR program - be sure to review the recruiting calendar regularly!

The OCR program serves as but one of the many resources for exploring job, internship and graduate school opportunities. Do not rely solely on OCR to obtain a job or internship! There are a number of career/job fairs to attend, as well as workshops and programs right here on campus that will help you with your search. Schedule an appointment to meet with a Career Center Counselor to map out a personalized search strategy!
