Orientation 2013:
The parent program runs concurrently with the student program for the entire day and a half program. After the opening ceremony, you and your student will go different ways – each getting involved in a program designed to meet your needs. You will join your student again for dinner and the Reflective Pause, an evening prayer service. The parent program concludes on the first day with a social with faculty and staff.
While the Parent program is optional, there are incentives to attend all the workshops. You will be able to experience the SBU Passport Program - a mirror of what your student will do in the University 101 course. The Passport Program encourages you to choose workshops from various categories throughout the two-day schedule.
Any family that completes the passport will be entered into a drawing to win $50.00, which will be added as Bona Bucks to your student's SBU ID card!
