READ 570 - Diagnosis and Assessment of Literacy

Description:

This course is the first of a three-course sequence in the diagnosis and teaching of learners with literacy difficulties. This course is designed to provide prospective literacy teachers with an array of both formal and informal assessment strategies to use when diagnosing learners with literacy difficulties. The goal of the course is to have students assess a learner's literacy and develop a cogent report that touches on all areas of strength and weakness in the learner's literacy.
