The Office of Marketing and Communications is located on the second floor of Francis Hall on the East End of campus. During the academic year, our office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Summer hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
George B. Swindoll has been named registrar at St. Bonaventure University, effective July 21.
Swindoll has more than 24 years of higher education experience in a variety of areas within student affairs, records management and enrollment management.
“We really think George is a great fit for us,” said Dr. Joseph Zimmer, provost and vice president for Academic Affairs at St. Bonaventure. “As someone who’s worked at both large and small institutions, George brings a fresh perspective, and that variety in his background will serve him well.”
For the past 10 years, Swindoll was the assistant vice president for placement, records and registration/registrar at Horry Georgetown Technical College in Myrtle Beach, S.C. The two-year technical school has a student population of 8,000 and three locations. Prior to that appointment he was the coordinator of student affairs at the college’s Georgetown, S.C., campus.
Swindoll holds a master’s degree in counselor education with an emphasis on student personnel from Mississippi State University and a bachelor’s degree in educational psychology from Mississippi State.
The Office of the Registrar is responsible for all activities pertaining to student registration, course scheduling, and maintenance of student records at St. Bonaventure.
