St. Bonaventure University will host its annual high school Communications Day competition from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, in the Dresser Auditorium of the John J. Murphy Professional Building.
Nearly 175 students from nine Western New York high schools will be on campus to present their competition entries.
The students have created their entries through a variety of media — including videos, advertising campaigns, features, news stories and web pages — to fit this year’s theme of anti-bullying. Each student will have five minutes to present his or her campaign.
This year’s panel of judges includes Emily Sinsabaugh, vice president for university relations; Chris Michel, ’10, reporter for the Olean Times Herald; Erin Haskell, ’07, senior media planner for Crowley Webb; and Lauren Adams, ’11, producer/reporter for WICU12/WSEE in Erie, Pa.
