The Franciscan Missionary Union of Holy Name Province offers a limited number of scholarships for foreign students from developing nations and/or those who are serving as missionaries in developing nations who are specializing in Franciscan Studies. To be eligible for one of these scholarships, the students must be sponsored by his or her major superior and must be working toward the M.A. Degree.
The Providence Fund Scholarship, a full-tuition scholarship, is restricted to a woman Franciscan religious from Africa.
Limited scholarship assistance for needy students is also available from a variety of sources. They include St. Francis Fraternity Scholarship, the Curly Burse Scholarship, the Del Mastro Scholarship and the Edna Finch Scholarship. There is also a restricted scholarship available from the Province of St. John the Baptist. Students in need of some financial assistance should address their requests to the Dean of the School of Franciscan Studies.
A Graduate Assistantship is also available for a full-time student in the Degree Program who is in need of financial assistance and who is willing to work under the supervision of a member of the Institute's staff.
