  • There are 30 students from Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C., attending St. Bonaventure.
  • Our Franciscan Health Care Professions program offers acceptance into medical schools upon entry into SBU, including a dual admission program with George Washington University School of Medicine.
  • The St. Bonaventure Bonnies compete in the Division 1 Atlantic 10 conference against George Washington University and University of Richmond.

From Bonaventure to the Beltway

 Chris Ekimoff was looking for a competitive swim team, and a strong business school where he could study accounting when he selected St. Bonaventure. After winning an Atlantic 10 championship, receiving the "Ideal Bonaventure Man" award, and graduating with an accounting degree and MBA in five years, Ekimoff now works for Delloite in McLean, Va.

Pat Harnisch wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of the Washington, D.C., when he chose to attend St. Bonaventure after graduating from Georgetown Preparatory School in 2004.

After studying finance and captaining the rugby team, the Class of 2008 graduate is back working and living in the Capital Beltway, but fondly remembers his time at St. Bonaventure.
