This historic dining hall is once again a focal point of student life after its remarkable facelift during the summer of 2006.
Not only did Hickey get a new look, but its menu was refreshed as well with an emphasis on show cooking, cooked-to-order meals and fresh, healthy foods. Hickey features a Mongolian grill, a made-to-order sandwich station, international specialties, a centerpiece brick pizza oven, grill area, carving station, waffle station, and a refrigerated dessert cart.
Expanded dining hours and wireless Internet access make it a popular meeting place on campus.
A new, expanded entryway to the building serves as an airlock, keeping the elements outdoors and away from the common lobby area serving Hickey and Cafe La Verna.
The building that houses Hickey Dining Hall, Cafe La Verna and the Rathskeller was renamed Magnano Centre after Olean philanthropists Louis and Patricia Magnano, who committed more than $2 million to the university's Anniversary Campaign.
