Mission to the Red Planet Camp
Sunday, July 21 - Saturday, July 27, 2013 
Faculty from the St. Bonaventure Department of Physics will conduct this unique learning experience.
Participants will be introduced to the interdisciplinary nature of astronomy while preparing for a mission to Mars. Some fundamentals of chemistry, geology, astronomy, engineering and biology will be used to investigate the terrain, atmosphere and possible life for the fourth planet from our sun. In addition to the natural sciences, members will develop skills in team building, communication and computer literacy.
Participants will have a combination of lectures, hands-on experiences, and field trips.
