ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y., Jan. 4, 2012 — The public is invited to join St. Bonaventure University’s Mychal Judge Center on a 10-day journey to Ireland this summer.

Participants will visit the cities of Dublin, Galway, Derry, and Belfast, and enjoy the breathtaking North Coast of Ireland on this guided learning tour of the Emerald Isle.

The tour group leaves New York City June 25 to see the sights, enjoy the culture, hear from the people, and learn the historic, social, political, and religious lessons that make this region one of the most beautiful, welcoming, and fascinating places on earth. The group returns to the U.S. July 4.

Since 2008, more than 100 St. Bonaventure students and faculty have participated in the Judge Center’s journey to Ireland and Northern Ireland, visiting many iconic venues of Irish history and culture, and learning first-hand how the Irish people overcame decades of violent conflict to live in peace. This experience is now available to the public as a non-credit program through the university’s Office of Lifelong Learning.

The cost of $2,580 per person includes round-trip airfare from JFK Airport in New York City to Dublin; accommodations for nine nights; inter-city ground transportation in Ireland; admission fees for Dublin City Tour, Bushmills Distillery, Giants’ Causeway and a Belfast City Tour; full breakfast daily; and a group dinner on July 3.

Reservations are now being accepted with a deposit of $200. Full payment is due April 1. For more information, contact Larry Sorokes in the Office of Lifelong Learning at (716) 375-2304 or lsorokes@sbu.edu, or visit www.sbu.edu/Ireland2013.
