The Accounting Department, in conjunction with the Career and Professional Readiness Center, hosted the annual Meet the Accountants Night Sept. 26 in the Doyle Dining and Trustees rooms.
Nineteen firms and organizations set up tables so that recruiters could interact with potential job candidates.
“This gives you a real-world networking atmosphere,” Stephanie Dezio, a student in the five- year accounting MBA program, said. “Students from freshmen to fifth-year seniors looking for internships or full-time positions can talk to recruiters from big firms to smaller, more regional firms.”
Recruiters from various firms were excited to meet with students.
“We do CPA review; it’s really nice when you can speak with a lot of the juniors and seniors.” said Nick Dentice of Becker CPA Review. “I was impressed when I spoke with the organizers. They let me know that a lot of juniors and seniors were required to be here and how important it is for them to pass their CPA."
