Internship Summit to offer resources to student community

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. — The Career and Professional Readiness Center will host an Internship Summit from 4 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3, in the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts. The event is open to all students.

Bob Daugherty, trustee and former U.S. Sourcing Leader and Global Human Capital Leadership team member of PricewaterhouseCoopers, will deliver the keynote address. His presentation, “The Power of Your Personal Brand,” will target students of all majors.

Breakout sessions will follow from 5:10 to 5:45 p.m. Presentations will feature insight from internship coordinators in the School of Business and the Russell J. Jandoli School of Journalism and Mass Communication, a panel discussion featuring School of Education alumni, and information about research and service opportunities and international internships.

A networking social and fashion show will follow the breakout sessions. Appetizers will be provided.

Business casual dress is recommended. To register for the event, students should email their name, major and class year to career@sbu.edu. All registrants will be entered to win a prize basket valued at $100. Deadline for registration is Friday, Oct. 28.
